I think there's a lot of truth to what I'm saying ...

I can't seem to reach where I want to go,

without eventually paying.

Sometimes the price seems too damn high

and the hill I have to climb sure seems awfully steep.

But, I guess you have to persevere, and be sincere,

and taken one step at a time,

you can make the tallest hill seem small.

And if you chose a just cause, and you try with all your might

your heart will soar, and your spirit will sing, and some great good

will be left behind ... when you are gone.

And the knowledge that you will possess will sing a mighty song

and to those who choose to listen will come a special peace

and they too shall come to know the beauty and the good of you.

Others won't have to pay the price you paid,

for once is all that's required of this very special purchase

and they will surely feel the glow of you and walk away with a new purpose

because of you and your ambition to achieve and be someone you can be proud of

to shine a special light upon your name and be the son your father

thinks you are ...

you can go very, very far ... if you just reach for the nearest star.
